10 GCA § 16104

Health Care Professional Prescriptive Authority

Except as provided in Subsection 16108 of this Act, a health care professional acting in good faith may directly or by standing order prescribe, dispense, and distribute an opioid antagonist to the following persons:

(a)A person at risk of experiencing an opioid-related overdose;

(b)A family member, friend, or other person in a position to assist a person at risk of experiencing an opioidrelated overdose;

(c)A first responder;

(d)A trained employee or volunteer of a communitybased organization;

(e)Trained school personnel;

(f)A patient receiving prescription for an opioid analgesic; or

(g)Any individual upon request.
