Authority and Duration

(a)Sworn law enforcement personnel assigned to MAULEG shall discharge their duties and responsibilities in accordance with relevant sections of the Guam Code Annotated and federal laws.

(b)GPD uniformed manpower requirements for the jurisdiction of Guam in consideration of size and population is five hundred twenty

(520)personnel.

(c)This assignment shall take effect upon “officers on the beat, officers on the street.” If GPD cannot maintain a manning requirement of three hundred sixty-four

(364)uniformed officers, or seventy percent (70%), for shift requirements, MAULEG will be immediately activated and remain in effect until recommended to cease by the Chairperson, and approved by both co-chairpersons, when the need for augmentation is no longer required.
