Augmentation of Sworn Officers

(a)The General Manager of GIAA, the General Manager of PAG, the Director of the Department of Agriculture, and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation shall identify sworn peace officers from their respective agencies to augment the Guam Police Department.

(b)The Chief of Police and the identified Directors and General Managers shall meet within thirtyone

(31)days of the enactment of this Chapter to determine the number of sworn peace officers to be assigned to the Guam Police Department.

(c)Sworn peace officers assigned to the task force shall operate under the Chairperson of MAULEG, the Chief of Police of the Guam Police Department, and adhere to GPD’s general orders, standard operating procedures, unit directives, and the laws of Guam.

(d)The Chief of Police shall deputize other law enforcement officers pursuant to this Section.

(e)The Chairperson, as well as the co-chairpersons, may request the presence of non-law enforcement agencies if they determine it is needed.
