Immunity of Arbitrators
View official PDF ↗(a)An arbitrator, and those acting pursuant to the order or rules of the arbitrator as his or her employees or agents, shall not be held liable for any action performed or omission made in the course of their official duties undertaken pursuant to this Chapter 42A.
(b)The institution which administers the arbitration shall not be liable for any action performed or omission made in connection with any arbitration, unless the action performed or omission made is committed with reckless disregard with respect to the rights of one or more of the parties. (c)No person who has served as an arbitrator may act as a representative or counsel of a party in any judicial proceedings in respect of a dispute that is the subject of the arbitration proceedings. No person who has served as an arbitrator may be a witness in any such proceedings.
