Fire Danger Periods
View official PDF ↗During periods of weather when the Director determines that the risk of fire is high, he or she shall establish a fire danger period by issuing a fire warning, which contains information setting forth the fact. This fire warning along with a designation of areas within which burning is prohibited shall be provided to the news media for presentation as a public service. Notices of the fact may also be posted in public buildings and on public lands. During such periods, no fires other than those within a closed, screened container shall be allowed.
