Establishment of Criminal Justice Automation Commission and Membership
View official PDF ↗There is hereby established the Criminal Justice Automation Commission (Commission), which shall oversee Guam’s Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS).
(a)Commission Leadership. The Commission shall be co-chaired by:
(1)the Chief Justice of Guam or his or her designee; and
(2)the Chief Technology Officer of the Executive Branch of the Government of Guam.
(b)Commission Membership. The Commission shall consist of heads of the following agencies:
(1)the Bureau of Statistics and Plans;
(2)the Department of Agriculture;
(3)the Department of Corrections;
(4)the Guam Customs and Quarantine Agency;
(5)the Department of Parks and Recreation;
(6)the Department of Public Health and Social Services, Division of Children’s Wellness;
(7)the Department of Revenue and Taxation;
(8)the Department of Youth Affairs;
(9)the Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center; CH. 16 CRIMINAL JUSTICE AUTOMATION COMMISSION
(10)the Guam Homeland Security - Office of Civil Defense;
(11)the Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport Authority, Guam;
(12)the Guam Police Department;
(13)the Mariana Regional Fusion Center;
(14)the Office of the Attorney General;
(15)the Port Authority of Guam; and
(16)I Liheslaturan Guåhan’s Committee on Public Safety or a legislative committee with similar oversight.
(c)An agency head under
(b)may designate a person from within his or her agency to serve in his or her place. Where an agency head designates a representative, and the agency maintains a law enforcement division or unit, the designee shall be from that division or unit.
(d)The Commission shall meet at least once during each calendar quarter and at such other times as the chairpersons deem necessary.
(e)No member of the Commission shall receive any compensation for the performance of duties associated with membership on this Commission.
