Guam Employment Relations Board

There is within the government of Guam the Guam Employment Relations Board, composed of five members, consisting of the Director of the Department of Labor, ex officio, two

(2)members appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Legislature who shall be representatives from labor and two

(2)members appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Legislature who shall be management representatives. The term of office of the appointive members shall be for five

(5)years, except that the original appointees shall be appointed for terms of one (1), two (2), three

(3)and four

(4)years. As their terms expire, new members shall be appointed to fill vacancies and such appointments shall be made for terms of five

(5)years. The Board shall have the power to engage its own attorney for the purpose of assisting it in carry out its functions; such attorney to be outside the classified service of the government of Guam. COL1242015 CH. 5 GUAM EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS ACT
