(a)To meet the graduation requirements for the PPI Program, interns shall:

(1)complete a minimum of eighty

(80)in-office hours within the eight

(8)week period; COL5/8/2020 CH. 16 PUBLIC POLICY INSTITUTE PROGRAM

(2)provide written and oral testimony on a bill during a public hearing of their choice;

(3)work under the supervision of the Clerk of I Liheslaturan Guåhan for one

(1)legislative session;

(4)assist with constituent work in the capacity of their senatorial office;

(5)participate in at least one

(1)policy briefing with their senatorial office; and

(6)serve as a page for at least one

(1)public hearing or legislative session.

(b)To graduate with distinction, the requirements for the PPI Program interns, as well as the requirements in Subsection

(a)of this Section, shall be:

(1)to complete a minimum of one hundred sixty

(160)in-office hours within the duration of their cohort;

(2)to conduct at least two

(2)policy briefings within their senatorial offices;

(3)to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism within the workplace and personal life;

(4)to research and write an original bill fit for introduction and to demonstrate knowledge of the legislative process; and

(5)to participate in an outreach program or any other approved civic activity. ---------- COL5/8/2020
