Noncomplying Name of Foreign Cooperative

(a)A foreign cooperative whose name does not comply with § 17113 may not register to do business in Guam until it adopts, for the purpose of doing business in Guam, an alternate name that complies with § 17117. A cooperative that registers under an alternate name under this Subsection need not comply with 18 GCA § 26101. After registering to do business in Guam with an alternate name, a cooperative shall do business in Guam under: CH. 17 THE GUAM UNIFORM LIMITED COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION ACT

(1)the alternate name;

(2)the cooperative’s name, with the addition of its jurisdiction of formation; or

(3)a name the cooperative is authorized to use under 18 GCA § 26101.

(b)If a registered foreign cooperative changes its name to one that does not comply with § 17113, it may not do business in Guam until it complies with Subsection

(a)of this Section by amending its registration to adopt an alternate name that complies with § 17117.
