Funding for the Scholarship Program

(a)The University of Guam shall extend full support and complete assistance for the Pedro ‘Doc’ Sanchez Professional Scholarship for Career Employees of the government of Guam as mandated by this Act by budgeting for scholarship funds to support scholarship grantees.

(b)Beginning with the academic year 2004-2005, all awards for participants of the scholarship program herein who are employed by autonomous agencies shall be paid for by their respective autonomous agencies as defined by Title 12 of the Guam Code Annotated, except for employees of the Guam Educational Telecommunications Corporation who shall continue to have their awards paid for through appropriation by I Liheslaturan Guåhan [the Guam Legislature].
