Attorney

(a)The University of Guam may employ an attorney to assist and represent it in all civil matters which concerns the University. The Attorney General shall represent the University in all litigation in which the University is interested, provided that the Attorney General shall designate the attorney for the University as a Special Assistant Attorney General for this purpose.

(b)The University of Guam may set the terms and conditions of employment for the attorney, his or her compensation and whether he or she be appointed as a full-time employee, an independent consultant. In the alternative, the University may utilize the services of a law firm.

(c)The Attorney so employed or engaged shall be admitted to practice before the courts of Guam under the same conditions as are attorneys employed by the government pursuant to § 28002.2 of the Government Code [which was repealed by P.L. 14-102:1 (Feb. 10, 1978)]. CH. 16 CHARTER
