Conveyance to Complete Contract: Authorization

If a person who is bound by a contract in writing to convey any real property or to transfer any personal property dies before making conveyance or transfer, and the decedent, if living, might have been compelled to make such conveyance or transfer, or if a person binds himself or his personal representative by contract in writing to convey any real property or to transfer any personal property upon or after his COL120106 CH. 23 PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE’S DEALINGS WITH ESTATE PROPERTY death, and the contract is one which can be specifically enforced, the Superior Court may make an order authorizing and directing the personal representative to convey or transfer the property to the person entitled thereto. To obtain such order, the proceedings to be taken and the effect thereof shall be as provided in Sections 2387 through 2391, inclusive, of this Title.
