Powers of Named Executor Before Grant of Letters

Testamentary. No person has any power as an executor before he qualifies, except that before letters testamentary are granted, the person or persons named in the testator's will as executor or executors may pay the charges for the testator's funeral and take necessary measures for the preservation of the estate.
