Conveyance

In order to facilitate the immediate construction of the one hundred ninety-five

(195)low income housing units specified in § 5201 of this Article, the Legislature directs that such government land as is reasonably necessary for the development of the projects shall be conveyed in fee to the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority. The Governor, subject to the approval of the Guam Legislature, is authorized to execute such documents of conveyance necessary to effectuate the transfer of title notwithstanding any other provisions of the laws of Guam to the contrary. The Recorder of the Department of Land Management, upon presentation of the requisite documents of conveyance necessary to effectuate the transfer of title, shall record the instruments and forthwith issue Certificates of Title identifying the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority as the owner of the fee of the properties to be conveyed.
