Defibrillators at All Government Offices.

(a)Each department and agency of the government of Guam, inclusive of autonomous and semi-autonomous agencies which have an office that provides a service to the general community of COL 1/26/2024 CH. 96 PUBLIC ACCESS TO AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATION ACT OF 2000 Guam, shall provide access to an automated external defibrillator (AED). The AED shall be available during hours that the government offices are open to the public. Each department or agency may create the provisions for the deployment and use of AEDs, to include, but not be limited to, the following:

(1)the locations and quantities at their facilities of AEDs;

(2)the training requirements for staff and volunteers to use the AEDs;

(3)monitoring AEDs to ensure the devices will function correctly as needed; and

(4)security and protection of the AEDs from theft, criminal mischief (vandalism), and damage or destruction from acts of nature.

(b)Access to AEDs, as required by Subsection (a), supra, must be completed by December 31, 2024. Request for funding shall be included in the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Request.
