The Health Commission is hereby created and is the regulatory body which shall set policy and determine regulations which relate to the operation of personal health service of all kinds. The Health Commission shall consist of seven

(7)members, appointed by I Maga’håga/Maga’låhi with the advice and consent of I Liheslatura, four

(4)members of the initial commission to be appointed for one

(1)year, three

(3)members to be appointed for two-year terms. The Commission shall choose from its membership, a chairman. The Director of Public Health and Social Services shall be the Chief Administrative Officer and shall carry out the decisions, policies and regulations of the Commission.

(a)Compensation of Members. Members of the Commission shall be paid at the rate of Fifty Dollars ($50) per day for each day on which the Commission meets, such compensation not to exceed One Hundred Dollars ($100) per month.
