Temporary Waiver, Modification, Promulgation and

Enforcement of Standards Authorized. The Division is hereby authorized to temporarily waive or modify any locally-enacted standard or rule on an individual agency basis provided compliance of said standard, prior to waiver or modification, may, in the written opinion of both the Chief Officer of the affected agency and Administrator, prove beyond the financial means of said agency. The Division is hereby authorized to temporarily promulgate recognized standards and to enforce same on written order to the Administrator or the Safety Review Board, if, in the opinion of the Administrator or the Safety Review Board, an unsafe condition exists and is likely to cause injury in the affected agency. Enforcement of such modifications, waivers, or promulgations of safety standards or rules, shall not exceed one

(1)year unless enacted into local law.
