Inspection and Entry

The Administrator may inspect all ASTs at reasonable times to take corrective action or to ensure compliance with this Chapter and the rules and regulations promulgated pursuant to this Chapter. The Administrator’s authority to inspect shall include, but is not limited to, the following:

(a)requesting and obtaining from any owner or operator and deliverer and guarantor of an AST, information relating to such tanks, their associated equipment, and their contents;

(b)conducting any study or performance of monitoring, and testing of tanks, their associated equipment, or surrounding soils, air, surface water, or groundwater;

(c)inspecting and copying all records relating to the ASTs;

(d)inspecting and obtaining samples of regulated substances contained in the ASTs; and

(e)taking corrective action or performing site assessment activities at the location of the AST.
