Assistant Adjutant General for Army

The Assistant Adjutant General for Army shall be recommended by the Adjutant General to I Maga’hågan/Maga’låhen Guåhan, and he shall:

(a)be a citizen of the United States and shall have Guam as his or her Home of Record or served in the Guam National Guard for a term of not less than five

(5)years prior to appointment;

(b)hold the rank of Colonel, which is Federally recognized; CH. 63 GUAM NATIONAL GUARD

(c)be promoted to a rank not to exceed Brigadier General at the discretion of I Maga’hågan/Maga’låhen Guåhan as Commander-in-Chief of the Guam National Guard; and

(d)perform such military duties as the Commander of the Guam Army National Guard, under the direction of the Adjutant General and shall perform such other military duties as may be required of her/him by the Adjutant General. The Assistant Adjutant General for Army shall be under the supervision and control of the Adjutant General. When so designated by I Maga’hågan/Maga’låhen Guåhan, the Assistant Adjutant General shall be the acting Adjutant General during the Adjutant General’s absence from Guam or during the unavailability of the Adjutant General due to illness or incapacitation.
