Goals for Waste Stream Reduction

The goal of this Act is to reduce the amount of material in our waste stream by a minimum of five percent (5%) each year from the date of implementation of the recycling deposit fee, until a thirtyfive percent (35%) reduction of material in our waste stream has been achieved through the practice of waste volume reduction at the source and through recycling.
