Pet License

(a)Each pet shall be licensed by its owner.

(b)The license shall be valid for three

(3)years from the date of issue if the pet has received a three

(3)year rabies vaccination at the time of issuance. Otherwise, the license shall be valid for the time remaining on the rabies certificate plus a forty-five

(45)day grace period.

(c)The owner of a pet imported into Guam shall have thirty

(30)days to obtain the prescribed license. Pets exempted by § 34102 of this Article shall be licensed when such exemption expires.

(d)The fee shall be established by the Director. The full fee shall be paid for any fraction of the year for which a license is issued.

(e)A pet license is not transferable to another pet. The license number shall be assigned to the pet and shall remain with the animal upon transfer to another owner for the life of the license. COL6/24/2021 CH. 34 KEEPING ANIMALS

(f)A penalty to be established by regulation shall be charged for late renewal of a license.

(g)Any penalty shall be in addition to the applicable license fee and payable at the time of the issuance.
