Additional Qualifications of Board Members
View official PDF ↗(a)Each member of the Board shall be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States and be a resident of Guam for at least two
(2)years immediately preceding appointment.
(b)Each nurse member of the Board shall be a current holder of a valid Guam license to practice as a registered nurse or a licensed practical nurse and have been actively engaged in the practice of nursing for five
(5)years immediately preceding appointment. Four
(4)members shall be required to have a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing.
(c)The public member of the Board shall be a person who is not licensed as a health care provider; is not a parent, spouse, sibling or child of any living person licensed as a health care provider, and is not a student in a health educational program; does not have a direct or indirect financial interest in health care services; is not a member or employee of any board of control of any public or private health care organization; and has at least a high school diploma or its equivalent.
