Direct Supervision Required

(a)Tasks performed by the anesthesiologist assistant must be under the direct supervision of a registered supervising anesthesiologist.

(b)All medical records shall be reviewed and co-signed by the approved supervising anesthesiologist within seven

(7)days.

(c)Upon being duly licensed by the Board, the licensee shall have his or her name, address, and other pertinent information enrolled by the Board on a roster of licensed anesthesiologist assistants.

(d)Not more than two

(2)currently licensed anesthesiologist assistants may be supervised by a licensed anesthesiologist at any one time, except as may be otherwise provided pursuant to § 122407(a).

(e)If no registered supervising anesthesiologist is available to supervise the anesthesiologist assistant, the anesthesiologist assistant shall not perform patient care activities.

(f)Nothing in these rules shall be construed to prohibit the employment of anesthesiologist assistants by a medical care facility where such anesthesiologist assistants function under the supervision of a Guamlicensed anesthesiologist.
