Qualifications for Licensure
View official PDF ↗Applicants for a license to practice respiratory therapy on Guam must complete and file an application with the Board. Applicants must have all of the following qualifications:
(a)Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist:
(1)transcripts from an approved school of respiratory therapy, evidencing the successful completion of a two
(2)year program, resulting in a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy;
(2)current certification as a RRT by the National Board for Respiratory Care; or
(3)have obtained RRT status from the National Board for Respiratory Care prior to January 1, 2004.
(b)Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician:
(1)transcripts from an approved school of respiratory therapy, evidencing the successful completion of a one
(1)year program; and
(2)current certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care; or
(3)have obtained certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician by the National Board of Respiratory Care before July 1, 1999.
