Composition of GUMA Commission

(a)The GUMA Commission shall be composed of nine

(9)members to be appointed by I Maga’lahen Guåhan, with the advice and consent of I Liheslaturan Guåhan.

(b)The chairperson of the GUMA Commission shall be elected by a majority of the members.

(c)The term of the GUMA Commission members shall be for five

(5)years, which shall be the life of the GUMA Commission.

(d)The composition of the GUMA Commission shall include two

(2)representatives from I Liheslaturan Guåhan, one

(1)each from the majority and minority parties represented in I Liheslaturan Guåhan; one

(1)COL120106 CH. 14 GUAM - U.S. M ILITARY ADVANCEMENT COMMISSION representative from the Office of I Maga’lahen Guåhan; one

(1)representative from the Mayor=s Council; one

(1)representative from the Guam Chamber of Commerce; one

(1)representative from the National Association of Uniform Services (>NAUS=); one

(1)representative from Veteran =s organizations on Guam; and the remaining two

(2)members shall be selected from the general public. At least one

(1)member of the GUMA Commission shall be a female.

(e)Members of the GUMA Commission shall be compensated in the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for attendance at each meeting, such compensation not to exceed One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per month. Each member of the GUMA Commission shall be authorized for reimbursement of reasonable expenses, including, but not limited to, travel and per diem allowances.
